|Shirley & Wythall help Warks Open, U140 & U120 teams reach National stages||
Warks have qualified for the National stages with the following teams:
Open (16 per team including Don Mason): qualified as Regional runner-up (only 2 sides entered) behind Staffs.
U180 (16 per team).
U140 (16 per team including Louis Rawson, Frank Jimenez, Ken Warren, Kim Gilbert and Roger Ball): qualified in third place (behind Worcs and Leics) by beating Staffs, Notts and (by default) Leics in the Regional competition.
U120 (12 per team including John Donovan): qualified, coming third in Region, by beating Staffs Terriers and Notts and drawing with Staffs Bulldogs - unfortunately, they were defeated by Worcs and failed to gobble up Lincs Sausages!
U100 (12 per team): this 'dirty dozen' squad made the Nationals as the Regional runner-up (only 2 teams entered) behind Notts.
By virtue of defaulting their away match to Notts, despite Jon Asbury's expertise the U160 team failed to make it past the Regional hurdle.
